【内容紹介】

初級が終わった学生のための新しい中級総合日本語テキスト。
「読む」「書く」「話す」「聞く」の４技能をバランスよく伸ばし、上級につながる日本語力を身につける。


『中級日本語カルテット』の特徴

教材はVol. 1（第１課～第６課）とVol. 2（第７課～第12課）の２巻構成。Vol. 1は日本語能力試験のN３レベル、Vol. 2はN２レベルを中心とした文型・表現、漢字、読みのストラテジーを学びます。
１つの課に「読む」「書く」「話す」「聞く」のセクションがあり、共通するテーマでつながっています。「読む」の読み物のトピックが「書く」の作文や「話す」の会話、「聞く」の聴解でも取り上げられていたり、聴解には読み物の文型・表現が使われていたりと、各セクションが様々な形で関連していることで、４つのスキルを自然にバランスよく伸ばすことができます。

What’s QUARTET?

QUARTET is divided into two textbook volumes. Volume I presents Lessons 1‐6, and Volume II covers Lessons 7‐12. The material in Volume I is roughly equivalent to level N3 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, while that in Volume II is on par with N2.
Every textbook lesson has four sections for the four language skills―読む, 書く, 話す, and 聞く―with each sharing the same theme. The sections are interconnected in various ways. For instance, the topic of the readings in 読む is taken up in the compositions of 書く, the dialogues of 話す, and the listening comprehension material of 聞く. As another example, the grammatical patterns and expressions used in the readings are also encountered in the listening comprehension tasks. This interlinking enables you to build up the four skills in a natural, well-balanced manner.
The workbook offers practice exercises related to each textbook lesson’s 読み物 and 文型・表現ノート.

This workbook is designed as a companion resource for QUARTET: Intermediate Japanese Across the Four Skills I (Lessons 1-6). It provides exercises for checking understanding of the readings and practicing the文型・表現ノート material of each lesson, as well as exercises for 初級文法チェック and 漢字チャレンジ in the Brush-ups section.

(1) Lessons 1-6

■読み物ワーク
（Ａ）〇×チェック： These are true-or-false questions for checking your understanding of the reading as a whole.
（Ｂ）読みのストラテジー 練習： These exercises are for practicing the lesson’s 読みのストラテジー.
（Ｃ）内容質問： These exercises challenge you to examine the reading in greater detail through questions on sentence structure, how sentences are connected, and the gist of each section.

■文型・表現ワーク
（Ａ）基本練習： These are basic exercises that require output.
（Ｂ）まとめの練習： These cover all items in the lesson, and come in three types: fill-in-the-blank (adding a suitable pattern or expression), sentence formation, and composition using the target patterns and expressions.
（Ｃ）口頭練習： In these exercises, you orally respond to questions using the patterns and expressions studied in that lesson.
